Discover these amazing Mayan Ruins on a half day guided tour
Visit chacchoben with its sets of structures of different ranges among which stand out the groups called Gran Basamento; and some other temples that undoubtedly have an importance within the Mayan culture in this region.
Chacchoben is an important place very close to Bacalar town and the Costa Maya Port, which makes your visit more pleasant with a shorter route to perform extra activities during the day. Know the temples and take the best photos to remember your trip in the Mexican Caribbean region.

Itinerary
Once we ride our vehicle it will take 1hr to get to Chacchoen Site. Once we get to our final destination we will have about 15 mins to use facilities if needed and then start exploring the site.
The ruins will take no longer than 1 hr 30 mins and right after we finish the tour we will have about 20 min to see some crafts and use facilities, to finally getting on the vehicle to drive straight back to port or hotel, which will only take about one hour, unless you require some special stops for pictures.
NOTE: If you have a specific request please let me know so I can customize the tour for you. For visitors coming on cruise ships please consider docking and boarding time when selecting the excursion.

Meeting Point Options:
CRUISE SHIP GUESTS After you get off the ship please go outside the gates of Costa Maya pier.
As soon as you pass security is where I will meet you, carrying a sign with your name on.
Please try not to get entertained inside the pier, I want to make the most of your time.
I will be waiting 30 mins before tour departure just in case.
Please consider the high season for Costa Maya Port (November-April) where up to 4 ships may dock on the same day, which will take a longer time for you to check-in. We usually start our tours 1 hr after ship arrival.
The tour involves climbing and one hour of walking, so it is recommended that you wear comfortable clothes.
